You will Need:
- Fabric (i.e. heavy felt, fleece, soft yet sturdy decorator or denim)
- Thread to match your fabric
- Sewing Machine
Instructions (Option 1):
- Cut fabric piece 7 1/2" square
- Hem one edge of fabrics that fray
- Fold in half
- Sew side and bottom seam
- Turn inside out unless felt or fleece is used, or you zigzag or serge the side seam
Instructions (Option 2):
- Cut fabric piece 14 1/2" x 4 1/2"
- Hem short edge of fabrics that fray
- Fold in half
- Sew both long (7 1/4") side seams
- Turn inside out unless felt or fleece is used, or you zigzag or serge the side seams
You will need:
- Flannel of fleece 7" x 8" (OR quilted material 8" x 9")
- 16" - 18" cord or ribbon
- Bead to fit double cord (to pull cord tight)
Instructions:
1. Fold 7" (or 8") 3/4"down with wrong sides together and stitch to make cord casing. Make holes 3/4" from both sides in inside of casing to put drawstring cord through.
2. Pull cord through with 5" on each end.
3. Fold material in half long ways, right sides together, so that it is 7" x 3 1/2". Stitch bottom and long sides together to the top. Backstich to lock in. Trim corners.
4. Turn case inside out and put bead on the two ends of the cord. Tie the two ends together. Slide the bead down to close the case.
